Who Can Absentee Vote in Arizona?

Any registered voter may opt to vote by absentee ballot.

How Can I Acquire an Absentee Ballot?

Voters may make a verbal or written request for an absentee ballot within 90 days preceding the Saturday before any election. If a verbal request is made, the voter must provide his/her birthplace and date of birth.

If a voter would like to receive a ballot in the mail, his/her request must be received by the county recorder no later than 5:00 p.m. on the eleventh day preceding the election (go to the Secretary of State's web site at http://www.sosaz.com/election/VoterRegistration.htm for a list of county recorders).

A voter may also appear in person no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Friday preceding the election at an on-site early voting location if he/she wishes to vote at that location.

How do I Return the Absentee Ballot and What is the Deadline?

Early ballots must be received by the county recorder or other officer in charge of elections by 7:00 p.m. on election day.
